Ever heard of La Cité Fertile? Since 2018, this one-hectare wasteland in Pantin has been delighting local residents and many of the city's inhabitants, offering them a living space built around an eco-responsible, sustainable lifestyle. This iconic spot continues its eclectic and original programming this winter! From November 26, 2022 to March 5, 2023, the Cité Fertile will once again become the Cité des Merveilles, offering an immersive and engaging experience to be enjoyed free of charge every weekend!
The magic of the festive season once again takes hold of this famous Parisian suburb, and we're even extending the event until the dawn of spring! The program includes a magical 8,000m² site dedicated toeco-responsibility for young and old alike. Rides (2 euros a ride), bumper cars and a variety of games (table tennis, darts, pétanque, hanging nets...) for all the family are on display, while a food court with sweet and savoury specialities from the four corners of the world attracts gourmets. Comforting winter bars keep you warm with hot chocolate and mulled wine, while beer lovers can enjoy craft beers in the warmth of the Source and Taverne bars, or in the outdoor biergarten.
La Cité des Merveilles, 2022 edition, is also an immersive experience combining artistic wandering and awareness of biodiversity protection. For over three months, visitors can discover a fascinating scenography designed by over 10 artists and collectives, featuring giant structures, unique creations, mapping, etc. Alongside this, an educational trail with areas dedicated to the animal world, the marine world, the cosmos and the city awaits the youngest visitors.
Committed Christmas markets are also coming to La Cité Fertile every weekend to showcase a range of expertise: for the weekend of November 26 and 27, 2022, make way for Merry Conscious Christmas by The Gros Marché. Then on December 3 and 4, discover the designers who are shaping the new sustainable generation! On the weekend of December 11 and 12, 2022, don't miss Shizen, the Japanese Christmas village. Finally, on December 17 and 18, make way for the now-famous Paris Night Market.
