This summer, from June 5 to July 2, 2022, the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud provides us with a beautiful and refreshing stroll in the garden with the “Jeux d’eau” event. Fountains, waterfalls and pools perform an aquatic symphony to attend free of charge!

Temperatures are rising and the sun is out: what a perfect occasion to have a walk in the gardens of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud to discover the Jeux d'eau. From June 5 to July 2, 2022, the fountains, pools and waterfalls in the garden perform a gorgeous aquatic show in a dramatic and playful fashion.

Come and roam this 460-hectare park listed as natural site, protected and labelled Remarkable Garden. Admire this well-maintained and decorated garden that housed the greatest royal and imperial families in France.

Walking the paths of the park, discover the many pools, waterfalls and fountains, enlivened by water displays perpetuation the Florentine hydrant men’s know-how from the 17th century, including André le Nôtre who drew inspiration from it to draw the estate and park. This water is a genuine richness that made of the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud a very coveted resort for members of the court from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

Architects and landscapists who designed these gardens came up with a hydraulic grid that can work only requiring gravity. The Grand Jet can spring up to 30 meters (98.42 feet) up in the air. Water then flows to the 24 jets, the “goulottes” and the “Fer à cheval” before making it to the Grande Cascade.

The set of perspectives also allow you to see the elegant curves of the water jets in the Orangery pool, the Petite Gerbe and the Grande Gerbe.

This gorgeous aquatic and poetic show is to be admired on your own on Sunday June 5, Saturday 11, Sunday 12, Saturday 18, Saturday 25, and on Saturday July 2 at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. On Sunday June 5 and Saturday 18, at 2:30 p.m. you can enjoy a guided tour behind the scenes. For this tour, email booking is compulsory.
