Lisbon sur Seine: an artistic evening stroll in the heart of Paris

Lisbon invites itself to Paris on September 23, 2022 for a unique evening organized as part of the France-Portugal season. This Friday, the City of Paris invites us to enjoy an artistic evening stroll celebrating the ties that unite the two capitals. From the Carreau du Temple to the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville, via theAcadémie du Climat and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, this stroll offers a wonderful immersion in the history and culture of Lisbon.

" Paris and Lisbon have a long and beautiful love affair. That's why, almost 25 years ago, to make it official and set it in stone, we signed a pact of friendship. With an exceptional cultural program, we wanted to celebrate this very special anniversary, culminating in an event on September 23," confided Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo in a press release.

Dubbed"Lisbon on the Seine", this free event will take us to theAcadémie du Climat at 6pm to discover an installation by visual artist Bordalo II. At the same time, from 8pm, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie will be showing a looped projection of a work drawn digitally by artist António Jorge-Gonçalves.

From 7pm, dance lovers can look forward to a performance by the talented choreographer Olga Roriz at the Carreau du Temple.

Finally, from 6pm onwards, gourmets will be able to travel to the food-trucks set up in front of the Hôtel de Ville in honor of Portuguese gastronomy. At 8:30 p.m., it's music time with DJ Branko on the decks. The artist will be mixing live to original creations by artists Salomé Lamas, Add-Fuel and Augusto Bràzio, projected onto the façade of the Hôtel de Ville. The evening's tribute to Lisbon will conclude with the Omiri Ball, to be held in the sumptuous salons of the Hôtel de Ville from 9:30pm.

The icing on the cake is that the entire program is free of charge. However, access to the Carreau du Temple and the Salons de l'Hôtel de Ville de Paris is by reservation only.
