Nuit des Étoiles is back at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, where scientific mediators have planned some great events in the Parc de la Villette, behind the Géode this August 11, 2023.

Every year in August, astronomers gather to observe the stars at nightfall, in the hope of a clear sky for star-gazing: this is the Nuit des Étoiles. Although there aren't many spots in Paris due to light pollution, the Cité des Sciences et de l' Industrie is used to bringing starry-sky enthusiasts together in the beautiful meadow of the cercle nord, behind the Géode.

Here, glasses and telescopes await us for observations of the Moon and the Parisian sky. Mediators are on hand to answer any questions we may have, and we can even take part in a sky map-making workshop to learn how to find our bearings and observe the sky and its constellations. The program also includes a mini-conference on the theme of "Stardust "! All activities are free and open to children aged six and over.

If you're not in Paris at the time, Starry Night is celebrated throughout France at . It's an opportunity to learn more about the stars that surround us, and to dream a little during this summer period. Don't forget to watch the Perseids, throughout August!
