To get close to the stars on a night in Paris, there is something simpler than becoming an astronaut. All you have to do is climb up the Montparnasse Tower. From August 2 to 6, 2018, the panoramic observatory of the impressive glass tower invites you to live out the 28th edition of the star-gazing night from the top of the capital’s highest peak!
Looking over Paris from 210 m, the observatory allows you to admire the sky’s beauty without being disturbed by the city’s lights. Five observation posts equipped with telescopes and binoculars and presented by AFA’s members (members from the French Astronomy Association) will be set on the panoramic rooftop. Everything will be gathered together so you can be amazed by the Milky Way, its constellations, its shooting stars and its mysterious planets.
This year, the theme is "de la pierre à l'étoile" [from stone to star] will be given pride of place!
On the 56th floor, at the area 56, you can also access to conferences led by the AFA here to tell us everything about what these stones say about time and space.
In other words, you'll leave with your eyes full of stars!
Please note that this year, the forms to access the Star-gazing night on the Montparnasse Tower change... So, to access the observation deck and the telescopes, every participant will have to get a special "Nuit des Etoiles" ticket - only available on line (100 participants per night only).
