Friends, Christmas is just around the corner and with it, it brings its share of magic in Paris. Among the enchanting moments, the beautiful Christmas lights on the Champs-Elysées scheduled from Wednesday November 22, 2017! The lights will remain until January 8. This year's edition sponsor has an international aura since it's Lily-Rose Depp.
It’s already time to set up Champs-Elysées Christmas lights. The installations already go strong. It's on Wednesday November 22, 2017 that we could attend their inaugurations in presence of model and actress: Lily-Rose Depp (daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis). Head to the middle of the Champs-Elysées on this Wednesday November 22 for the launching scheduled at 6 p.m.
As every year, the most beautiful avenue will be light up every evening thanks to the Blachère company which came up with a rain of shooting stars on the avenue 400 trees, offering an incredible show, marking the avenue perspective thanks to luminous and lightened up white lines. These installations are to be admired all along the avenue, road and pedestrian sides, every day from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., and they won’t use this much energy (11.000 kw/h).

Yet, this year’s drawback is that lovers of the Champs-Elysées Christmas Market won’t have the market this year, at least, not as we know it. Indeed, Paris City Hall decided to stop the famous market supervised by King of carnies Marcel Campion.
No funfair, nor giant skating rink near the Grand Palais this year either since the musical show “Singin’ in the Rain” takes over the place from late November to mid-January.
We hope that surprises await us!
