The Taversée de Paris en Anciennes is one of the biggest events in Paris for old car amateurs. Twice a year, for a morning, Paris streets are enlivened with old cars, motorbikes, bicycles, tractors, buses, light goods vehicles for a crazy ride from Vincennes to Vincennes.
A few pictures:
Whether you are a collector or not, this is the occasion to enjoy a travel back in time thanks to these cars that crossed the centuries. The Traversée de Paris is the occasion to shine a light on the rolling oh-so ecclectic and oh-so rich rolling heritage presented by vehicles from many countries and brands - some of them even disappeared.
Please keep social distancing with people, wear a mask, and use hand-sanitizer because of Covid-19.
Nostalgia will be just around the corner, but the route remains a surprise... To make sure you can find them, you will have to board one of the participating buses by paying €10, or meet them at the Meudon Observatory at 11:30 a.m. There, a big and bucolic picnic is planned (you yet have to bring your own meal), with music and car display thanks to clubs and collectors.
For instance, the Rétromobile Show being cancelled in 2021, you will enjoy a few gems including a Ford 1 (1930), a Pontiac (1942), a Triumph TR3 (1953), a Traction 11 CV (1957), a Corvette (1966), a Mini Moke (1966), an Autobianchi Eden Rock (1969), the London Cab (1970), a Toyota Land Cruiser (1989), and two motorcycles: a BMW side-car (1963) and a Peugeot 350cc (1932) in original conditions.
Here is a fun and family outing.
