Vaux le Vicomte was expected to throw an Easter egg hunt on Saturday April 3, Sunday 4, and Monday 5, 2021. On the menu, playful workshops, contest, egg hunts for children and adults and visit of the wonderful gardens of the Château. Eggs are scattered across over 30 hectares! Unfortunately, due to the latest governmental restrictions, the event is cancelled.
Due to the latest restrictions instated by the government to fight against the spread of Covid-19, Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte cannot reopen. The Easter egg hunt and entertainments are therefore cancelled this year again.

Château de Vaux le Vicomte's Easter hunt is one of the best in Île-de-France. Every year, for Easter weekend, the teams of the private castle bend over backwards to make children have fun and challenge older children with over 90,000 chocolates hidden in the 33-hectare landscaped garden.

This year, you are expected on Saturday April 3, Sunday 4, and Monday 5, 2021 for giant races starting 10 a.m. and all day long. In Vaux-le-Vicomte, you must validate a first scroll of paper to make it to the famous Easter egg hunt. And to avoid fights and deception, several hunts are held at the same time depending on the children's age. There is a space for children 2-5 years old, 6-12, 12-18, and a chase for adults enabling to leave with tickets for the Château Candlelit dinners!

The teen-adult chases mix rapidity, dexterity, and skill. For the youngest hunters, it is all about exploring. All the more so as hidden eggs are made of plastic so that each child can leave with a box of Leonidas chocolates at the end of the day, no matter how many eggs they found! Children can also win one of the 100 pop-up books provided by PKJ publishing company provided they found the golden squirrel!

But that is not all, giant wooden toys and small boats on the pond are available to entertain children! Ponies will also be here for lovely rides in the 33-hectare garden (including an extra cost).

If you are interested in this Easter egg hunt, hurry up and book tickets, as not many Easter entertainments have been announced in Île-de-France. This is the unique occasion to enjoy a day out as a couple or with children in a fantastic setting reopening on March 25, 2021 after being closed for months. What a wonderful stroll with very well deserved chocolates.
