Hanami, the famous springtime cherry blossom festival, is being celebrated in the Parc de Sceaux from March 30 to April 28, 2024. To mark the occasion, the Domaine départemental de Sceaux is unveiling a rich program of events for the whole family, culminating in a festive weekend not to be missed on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024. A great way to immerse yourself in this Japanese celebration.

Like every year from now on, the Parc de Sceaux is the place to be to celebrate Hanami, the Japanese festival of spring, with joy and good humor. All Ile-de-France residents wishing to discover the Hanami tradition or simply enjoy the springtime are invited to visit the Domaine départemental de Sceaux from March 30 to April 28, 2024, culminating in a weekend of festivities on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024.

This year, the Hauts-de-Seine department is pulling out all the stops with a series of events celebrating Japanese culture, and of course cherry blossom. From a blossom exhibition, mini-concerts and Japanese dance, to workshops on origami and the art of Japanese folding, and demonstrations of Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, there's something for all tastes and ages!

Don't forget the Hanami picnic sessions in the park, open from April 1 to 28, 2024. If you're looking for a little peace and quiet, Parc de Sceaux advises against setting up in the north and south bosquets, which are generally overcrowded and "victims of their own success". The park recommends that you avoid settling down at the foot of the cherry trees, preferring instead"specially landscaped areas in the vicinity". Parc de Sceaux also stresses the importance of respecting the natural surroundings.

So, why not celebrate spring amidst the flowers? See you from March 30 to April 28, 2024 at the Domaine départemental de Sceaux.
