Take your most beautiful costumes out again because Paris Carnaval Tropical is coming back for the 20th edition. On Sunday July 4, 2021, 1,000 carnivalists representing about fiftnee groups will wake you up and fill you with enthusiasm thanks to a never-before-seen, festive, colorful, and merry show in the tradition of French West Indies and Guiana and to Latin-American music.
This year, Paris Carnaval Tropical expects you at Stade Charléty, and not the Champs-Elysées, as tradition usually demands. The choice of venue is symbolical for the Carnival, marking the beginning of the Olympic Games in preparation for the 2024 Olympics held in Paris and the Greater Paris. Furthermore, given the current health context, the number of spectators will be limited. Therefore, within the Stade Charléty, only 5,000 people will be able to attend the show for health safety reasons. Yet, to attend the 20th anniversary of Paris Carnaval Tropical, do not forget to book your invitation on the official website. Note admission will only be possible with a vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 test taken over the past 72 hours, in compliance with the ongoing measures.
The "Royal Family", King, Queen, Miss and Prince elected for 2020 will open the parade after a musical performance by French Guiana band "Dokonon".
