Every year, the Nuit des Musées (Night of the Museums) invites us to (re)discover our beautiful Parisian and Ile-de-France heritage. This year's event takes place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, and features night-time visits, often enhanced byoriginal events. On this occasion, we invite you to unravel the mysteries ofone of Île-de-France's most beautiful châteaux: the Château de Fontainebleau.
With over 1,500 rooms set in 130 hectares of parkland and gardens, the Château de Fontainebleau is the only royal and imperial château to have been continuously inhabited for seven centuries. To visit the Château de Fontainebleau is to benefit from an exceptional presentation of French history, art and architecture. Here, you'll pass through corridors that have seen the greatest princes and dukes come and go, and remain in the state in which Napoleon III and Eugenie left them!
The château's collections include some 30,000 works of art dating from the 16th to the 19th century, many of which can be admired in the château's historic apartments, the Musée NapoléonI, the Galerie de Peintures, the Galerie de Meubles and the Musée Chinois.
