Disney magic is getting a makeover! Disneyland Paris has announced this Monday March 21 in a release they are proceeding to a multi-year total transformation of Disney Village. The program is to start with the construction of Café Mickey by the Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, becoming a Parisian bistro administrated by the Bertrand group, Rosalie, expected to open in 2023. Stores, restaurants, shows, games… Here is more about the changes to come!

We love Disneyland Paris for the rides and family merry-go-rounds or thrills, for the iconic characters roaming around the park, the shows and parades… As well as for the shopping and food area: Disney Village! And good news for those enjoying walking around the village and shop: for the resort’s 30th anniversary, Disneyland Paris has announced a multi-year transformation program of Disney Village! A huge construction site covering the 40,000sqm of the area, for 5 to 6 years, according to our peers at OutsidEars.

Disney Village to look like new

A brand-new image, providing a timeless and family setting likely to be complete with new appealing experiences through stores, restaurants and entertainments. By day, stores and restaurants are to attract passersby; by night, the thousands of lights will transform the place into a lively and enchanted venue. Walk around the lake, embellished paths, and many green areas to complete it all to make a new breathing zone.

Our plan to transform Disney Village is yet another example of how we continue to reimagine Disneyland Paris at the resort level, notably with our major expansion plan in progress at Walt Disney Studios Park,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. “We’re very excited to bring new iconic and timeless concepts to the district that will appeal to a new generation of guests, whether they visit from our nearby resort hotels or from the local area. We can’t wait for our guests to be surprised and delighted by what we have in store.”

Bye-bye Café Mickey, hello Rosalie!

Foundation stone to the program, the Café Mickey set right by the Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will be entirely transformed into a typically Parisian brasserie administrated by groupe Bertrand. Called Rosalie, this new contemporary brasserie will serve traditional cuisine mixing regional diversity and seasonal produces, as well as the best of the French art de vivre in a resolutely modern and elegant venue.

A 500-restaurant which works are to start by the end of the year, for a great opening in 2023. Seated service will be available, completed with a counter offer, with an assortment of viennoiseries and products from French bakery. A terrace is expected too, with views on the Disney Lake. In other words, the best of occasion to rediscover the village, its stores, and have a great time with your family or friends!
