Dear tourist friends and dear Parisians, a mobile app can solve a lot of issues. Here is our guide to apps to have in your phones when strolling Paris.

Discovering all the secrets Paris holds whilst managing like an authentic Parisian can be very tricky. Between the metro hours, trips to remember and all the landmarks to visit, we often do not know where to start.

To help you find your bearings, we have come up with a small guide to applications to save in your phones to visit Paris and coming through all situations!

15 handy apps for your stay in Paris:

  • To get around:

Bonjour RATP – The application effectively and simply guides you through the Paris metro thanks to maps, real-time line hours, stations closed for renovations and delays. The app also enjoys a search system for the best itinerary (the quickest one, the one with as few changes as possible) and localization showing the closest transportation.

City Mapper – This indispensable app offers the best services as its peer above, but it is yet more complete. Like for the RATP app, it provides metros, buses, RER and transiliens trains, as well as cabs, velibs and autolibs. If you like sport, the app even displays the amount of calories burnt if you end up walking.

Paris ci la Sortie – An app allowing you to know where the exits are set in the metro. Choose the line and direction, your stop, and the app tells you if you have to go to the front, the middle or the back of the train to have your connection quickly.

Indigo Neo – The app list over hundreds of thousands of parking spots in Ile-de-France. Handy, it guides users to spots available and offers them to compare prices in the different private and public parking lots. Then, nothing simpler: book your spot ahead of time and pay directly in the app.
