From May 25 to September 3, 2017, Paris exhibition center is hosting a gigantic exhibition dedicated to dragons featuring about thirty full-scale dragons. Myth or reality? Come and discover an exhibition with dragons more authentic than the originals!

If like me, you are fascinated by dragons, you need to run to Paris Expo from May 25 to September 3, 2017 to discover Dragonland: a never-seen-before exhibition presenting the history and world of dragons as well as 30 full-scale animated dragons. Take your kids and go be amazed in front of these flying gigantic reptiles covered in scales and bright colors, with predatory claws and breathing fire.

Legend or reality? This gigantic monster aroused many stories. Sometimes terrible and sometimes shrewd, it is said to be clever and ingenious, that could both speak, do some magic and without forgetting it is an art enthusiast.

Today, the myth reflects everyday life since you can go and discover them at the Parc des Expositions in Paris, in a 4,000-square meter area.

The first half of the visit is dedicated to the discovery of dragons’ world and legends. Where do they come from? What are their powers? Fiercely keeping treasures, protecting children or bringing luck, they always are powerful and live in our dreams. Some fight them, some try to tame them and other venerate them according to their countries, civilizations and ages. But one thing is sure, dragons still fascinate children and adults.

The second half of the giant exhibition unveils 30 animated dragons that are some of the most impressive in the world. They have been created based on Ciruelo Cabral’s drawings. He is a famous Argentinean strip cartoonist specialized in sci-fi, fantasy and a dragon-expert.

Of all countries and time periods, the variety is surprising. We can see dragons of all colors and of different shapes. Some are old: over 1,000 years old. For instance, note that the cockatrice is said to kill its prays just by looking them straight in the eyes: try not to meet its gaze! Some have several heads, some can fly, swim and even walk on the sky…

In short, here you have a wonderful exhibition to visit with your family and to feed our imagination. Remember that at the end of the visit, children can enjoy a recreation area. Several activities await: a presentation of Ciruelo’s works, a photo area to keep a good memory of the visit as well as a dragon merry-go-round for the youngest ones.
