Mr. Men at Paris Musée en Herbe: our pictures

Mr. Men at the Museum, here’s the brand-new exhibition of the Musée en Herbe, the only Parisian museum really dedicated to children starting from 3 years old! From October 4, 2018 to January 20, 2019, discover this playful exhibit suited to little ones.

Monsieur Madame, it's the name of the new exhibition of the Musée en Herbe, known for offering exhibitions really suited to a young audience as well as adults.

These very colorful characters with funny shapes come straight from Roger Hargreaves’ books and are to be discovered from October 4, 2018 to January 20, 2019 at the Musée en Herbe in an exhibition entitled “Les Monsieur Madame au Musée” [Mr. Men at the museum].

As soon as we arrive in rue de l'Arbre Sec, we're diving into the universe of our toddlers' first heroes: Mr. Men. As a matter of fact, the exhibition street artists took over the street by painting the surrounding tarps.

While the author sold 250 million Mr. Men books across the world since the creation of these crazy little guys in 1971, the Musée en Herbe offers to pay a tribute to him by giving carte blanche to renown artists.

23 contemporary artists such as SPEEDY GRAPHITO, PURE EVIL, CHANOIR, KEVIN LYONS… delved into the Mr. Men’s universe and offer us to discover their reinterpretation filled with Mr. Men’s humor and softness.

But we also discover items from the author's private collection such as this Mr Tickle book that is the very first sample of Mr. Men originally created to explain to his son what a tickle is.

A playful and original exhibition in which children can invent and listen to their own MR. MEN story, put on a street artist’s shoes by creating a character and even see MR. MEN coloring pictures magically come to live.

Tours for children:

Small visitors turn into Mr. Men. Equipped with a hat and ready for a paper chase, they leave to discover these many characters with a strong personality and humorous twists and turns created by many artists!

With a tour suiting children’s age: 30 minutes for the baby-tours designed for kids from 2 years and a half to 5 years old and 1 hour for the maxi-tours designed to kids for 5 years old to more.

The family tour can be completed freely or with a guide. Each tour can be followed by a 1-hour art workshop:

Baby-workshops with 4 hands:
Parents and children from 2 years and a half to 5 years old join their talents to create together 3 or 4 creations related to Mr. Men and the artists distorting them!

Baby-workshops:
The child becomes an artist and creates with a supervisor 3 or 4 creations related to Mr. Men and the artists distorting them!

Maxi-workshops:
A program of creative and playful workshops around the exhibition complete the tour with the occasional help of artists, for kids from 5 years old to more.

For adults:

Visitors discover the story and the universe of these curious characters who became leading figures: child nightstands as well as twists realized by many artists, each more talented than the last!
Free tours, guided tours, pol’art tour with a criminal investigation background are available starting from 15 years old! Events are also offered every month: magician, conference about street art…

In other words, an initiatory and artistic tour filled with surprises!
