When Christmas is just around the corner, Paris goes festive! Between Christmas markets, enchanting windows and lights, we definitely go back to our youngest days. And speaking of young, children and the guests of the Christmas Magic setting up at the Jardin des Tuileries from November 25, 2019 to January 5, 2020
On the menu: puppet theater, Christmas carols and interactive Christmas tales, the whole is available for free for kids’ and adults’ greatest joy.
The puppet tradition at the Jardin des Tuileries is back for the winter! The Compagnie du Grand Gone brings Guignol back to life that comes back with his sidekicks in a structure able to house about a hundred children. True and well-structured stories with a plot and a conclusion: investigate with Guignol to find Santa Claus and the gifts that have disappeared… A show to delight children, and their parents. Expect some surprises in store.
Weekends at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Trailer travelling across France for 5 years and built like a travelling theater, the Mobil Mômes is the theater for Christmas magic and singers/actors dressing up as white bears, fairies or Hop-O’-My-Thumb. They perform in front of kids and adults and tell stories through songs and offer dynamic and participative moments where children likely go up on stage with the artists!
Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., Sundays and Wednesdays at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and every day during school break.
Two storytellers read and perform magical and mysterious tales such as Nutcracker or The Little Match Girl. To make everyone experience the story, the teller/actor sings and moves amongst children.
3 sessions (2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.) lasting 25 minutes performing 2 tales on Wednesdays and on weekends from December 15, December 29 and January 6.
In other words, a lovely program of free activities for a wonderful family day! And why not wrapping up the day with a walk at the Jardin des Tuileries Christmas market.
