The Louvre is continuing its efforts to make its collections more accessible, with a new area reserved for children and families, right next to the Petite Galerie. An extension of this educational space, the Studio hosts enriching workshops on Wednesdays and weekends for children aged 3 and over and their parents.
The Studio du Louvre offers an opportunity to discover artistic practices and to deepen the visit to thecurrent exhibition at the Petite Galerie with a thematic moment of creation. This space also includes the Forum, a room where families can take a break, and eight workshop rooms. On Wednesdays, children can come on their own for a variety of workshops:
On weekends, the space is adapted for families, who can create a travel diary together. Admission is free with the museum entrance ticket and remains free for under-26s.
During the exhibition Venus d'ailleurs, matériaux et objets voyageurs, on view from February 19 to April 18, 2022, the Studio du Louvre offers visitors the chance to create a pearly shell, listen to the melody of your own word about travel, or take part in the colorization of an enchanting fresco. During the school vacations, children can also take part in different workshops, such as fan-making, discovering mother-of-pearl or chocolate, making a recycled object...
