On August 27, 2017, Provins, a medieval city holds the 47th Harvest Festival, the oldest annual folk celebration in Ile de France. This celebration is unique in France since it takes place in the old city streets, just as it did in the past.

Located at 80 km south-east of Paris, Provins is a medieval city and a Unesco World Heritage site since 2001. Come to Provins and discover its medieval fortifications and the oh-so well-preserved city walls.

On August 27, 2017, book your day to go and experience a unique event in France. This year, Harvest Festival of Provins turns 47!

Throughout the day, in a verdant setting, roam the streets and public squares of the medieval city so that you can experience the life in French countryside.

Various animations are offered to visitors: tractors and old vehicles parade, old-style threshing, draft horses and wheat carts, street music, brass bands, wind sections, French and world music, barrel organ, jazz music, drums, artisanal and local products discoveries, ancient tools exhibitions.

In the afternoon, a great parade including about 500 participants and wheat-decorated floats will cross the streets of the Upper Town.

This unique celebration reminds that Provins manages to highlight its heritage since over 400 volunteers reinvent it every year.

Grab your kids and go spend an incredible, playful and instructive day in Provins!
