Ocean festival 2022, family-friendly entertainments at the Palais de la Porte Dorée

The Palais de la Porte Dorée invites us to celebrate the Fête de l'Océan, on the weekend of June 2 to 4, 2023. This 7th edition will feature a host of workshops, immersive events, creative activities and conferences for the whole family.

La Fête de l'Océan is back again this year, for a sixth edition to be experienced on the weekend of June 2 to 4, 2023, at the Palais de la Porte Dorée aquarium. This discovery-filled weekend offers you the chance to meet major players in ocean preservation, such as associations, NGOs and research centers.

This year's theme,"Exploring the Ocean", is an invitation to discover the marine environment in scientific, technical and artistic terms. This positive theme aims to highlight the importance of the ocean in a context where its preservation is increasingly crucial.

During the weekend, numerous free activities, at no extra charge to the admission price, are offered on site and on the Poisson Lune terrace, including :

Storytelling about the sea and marine animals
The creation of an autonomous participatory fresco
Micro-tours of the Tropical Aquarium
Sea quizzes
Screening of animated films on the theme of the sea
Conferences by Erik Orsenna and Romain Troublé

Program:

June 2

10:00 am - 6:00 pm: Oceanic Exhibition Opening of the Oceanic Exhibition, featuring artworks, photographs and interactive installations dedicated to the ocean and its preservation.
1:15pm, 4:15pm, 7:30pm: Performance "C/O (Noustube)" by Jörg Müller Performances lasting 20 minutes each, immersing spectators in an aquatic experience inside a giant bubble.

Day of June 3

10:00 am - 6:00 pm: Oceanic exhibition Continuation of the oceanic exhibition.
10:30am - 12:30pm: Storytelling Stories for children on the themes of the sea, the ocean and marine animals.
1:15pm, 4:15pm, 7:30pm: Performance "C/O (Noustube)" by Jörg Müller Second day of this unique immersive performance.
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Creation of a participatory fresco Visitors of all ages are invited to take part in the creation of a large-scale fresco on the theme of the ocean.

Day of June 4

10:00 am - 6:00 pm: Oceanic exhibition Last day to enjoy the oceanic exhibition.
10:30am - 12:30pm: Storytelling Last session of sea tales for children.
1.15pm, 4.15pm: Performance "C/O (Noustube)" by Jörg Müller Final performances of this immersive experience.
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Quiz de la Mer A fun and instructive quiz on the sea and marine life.
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Screening of animated films Animated films on the theme of the sea will be screened to close the festival.

Throughout the three-day event, micro-tours of the Tropical Aquarium will be organized to enable you to discover marine biodiversity in more detail and on a personal level.
