For this Christmas 2020, the Boulevard Haussmann Committee, is back with its Christmas illuminations, despite the confinement acted until December 1, 2020.
Every year, millions of tourists and Parisians visit Boulevard Haussmann, its department stores and its Opera House, a favorite Parisian shopping destination. Last year, the committee opted for "traditional" illuminations, in which the boulevard's trees are decked out in a warm white color and highlighted by special lighting to harmonize their size and give them a homogeneous volume, despite the winter season.
Complementary arches of light were placed on either side of Rue Caumartin.
The department stores are also getting in on the act: their windows will also be illuminated, from November 12 for Printemps, and November 14 for Galeries Lafayette. It remains to be seen whether passers-by will be allowed to stop by.
