Rehab, the CBD-based cocktail speakeasy bar in Paris

Nestled a stone's throw from the Louvre, the Normandy Hotel has surprises in store. Since 2019, an uncommon speakeasy takes you to an exclusive atmosphere in Paris. Welcome to Rehab!

Latest creation of the Macheret group, Rehab is this new speakeasy hidden in the hotel’s basement. Coming in, expect the unexpected! The décor takes you to a mysterious atmosphere with bargain-hunted and uncommon furniture like an opium bed.

Wherever you go in this intimate bar, you will be surprised. In the adjoining rooms, tables a bid hidden takes you under a sky of paper lanterns while others take you to a more… paranormal atmosphere.

Beyond the uncommon setting, the specialty at Rehab is the cocktail list. For the first time in Paris, you can enjoy CBD-based cocktails. All in all, a dozen is available each being linked to a part of your body and a state of mind.

But what is CBD you ask? Unlike THC, CBD (Cannabidiol) relaxes you without you feeling the bad side effects. So, don’t expect to be high and see unicorns jumping from the ceiling, here, the watchword simply is: relax.

As for us, we fell for the Pink Morning based on lemon juice, red basil syrup, Campari and a drop of CBD. Not too bitter, nor too acid, this cocktail is perfectly balanced.

For a more detox cocktail, here’s our favorite: the Smart Recovery. Cucumber, apple juice, kombucha, Falernum without forgetting CBD, this tasty creation is served with pickled cucumber to make almond and spice lovers very happy.

Last but not least, fruity flavor fans will have the Cold Turkey: lemon, seasonal berries, soda and CBD, this creation is said to evolve with seasonal produces. Fizzy and fruity, this cocktail is a success too.

And if you wish to stick to CBD-free cocktails, be rest assured, creations with or without alcohol are also available. Yet note that cocktails are poor in alcohol: you are here for the flavor pairings but responsibly!
