At Benedict's, the star of the menu is Eggs Benedict, offered here in original and frankly gourmet recipes.

Restaurant Benedict, located on rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie in the Marais district, has been given a make over. With a large counter for a quick lunch or a drink with friends, a refined, plant-based decor and large adjoining rooms to ensure a certain distance from the neighbors, the restaurant is reopening with great fanfare.

On the menu, too, there's something new, homemade of course. And Benedict' s menu is truly diversified! Starters include marrow bone on toast, homemade foie gras and creamy burrata; original salads with crispy cauliflower, freekeh or roasted beet; gnocchi for pasta lovers and two sandwiches, a roast beef and a salmon club.

Also on the menu are burgers, tartare, fish and chips and Ouzo chicken livers. In short, there's something for everyone, with a menu that includes a number of classics as well as more original dishes .

But as you've probably guessed, the star of Benedict' s is eggs Benedict! These Anglo-Saxon breakfast staples come in a thousand and one recipes.

Alongside traditional eggs Benedict (14.50€) with turkey bacon, spinach and hollandaise sauce, there are Italian-style eggs Benedict (16€) with buffalo mozzarella, roasted eggplant and tomato basil sauce; Nordic eggs Benedict (18€) on homemade blinis with smoked salmon and fine chive cream; eggs Benedict with Reblochon cheese (17€) with crispy potatoes, onion confit, turkey bacon, Reblochon cheese au gratin and hollandaise sauce; or classic eggs Benedict with a truffle hollandaise sauce (19€).

After indulging inincredible mac and cheese balls with truffles (11€) and plump mozzarella sticks (10€), dipped in a homemade tomato and basil sauce, it's time to make a crucial choice: eggs Benedict!

In the end, we opt for the excellent Eggs Benedict Avocado (15€) with cereal bread, large poached eggs, crushed and sliced avocado, radish petals and the inevitable hollandaise sauce, and for the Eggs Benedict Cheddar (15€), with cheddar, pan-fried mushrooms and hollandaise sauce, which are ultimately more mushroom eggs than cheese eggs, but which nonetheless give us a real treat.

For toppings, choose between home fries, truffle fries, roasted sweet potato, seasonal vegetables, sucrine or mac and cheese. As you may know, we're not exactly calorie conscious, and consider that you can never have too much mac and cheese in your life, so we indulged ourselves with the creamy, au gratin mac and cheese. Yummy!

After this feast, we found a little room to try a homemade dessert, the baba au rhum and its homemade chantilly (11€), very generous in rum and well soaked. Alternatively, you can indulge in Benedict pancakes with banana, granola and salted butter caramel, or for a lighter snack: ice creams and sorbets from Benedict's neighbors, Une Glace à Paris.

Benedict also offers a fine selection of creative cocktails. We tried the Elderflower Citrus (11€, Cointreau, St-Germain, Prosecco, grapefruit, lemon and amarena cherry) and the Pornstar Martini (12€, vanilla-infused vodka, passion fruit, cane sugar and prosecco shooter), and they were both top-notch.

In short, Benedict 's is the place to go for a festive brunch, or for a generous lunch with friends or loved ones over delicious gourmet dishes!
