Javette, that's the name of this restaurant opened last February in the Odéon district. At the same time bistro and wine bar, this spot with a vegetal atmosphere, offers us a nice wine and cocktail list, accompanied by beautiful seasonal dishes. Let's go there to have a good time.

Javette, not to be confused with La Javette on the quays, is a new restaurant located 20 rue Dauphine in the 6th arrondissement. It's the latest addition to the Gemini Family, which also offers a wine bar.

In front of the facade, our eyes are attracted by the plant decoration of the place. The restaurant offers a covered or uncovered terrace part outside and many tables all along the restaurant with even a floor, the head in the ivy.

Visible stones on the wall, lights and bamboo seats, we like the luxuriant jungle decoration which reveals a big bar at the bottom of the room.

We settle down to order a nice cocktail at our arrival. To us, the creative aperitif which wakes up the papillae: pisco, ginger and lime, it is very good.

The menu is rather short and proposes us a nice choice of season. We let ourselves be tempted by the delicious Ceviche of sea bream with lime, pomegranate and avocado, very spicy, and by the Burratina with pineapple and candied tomatoes. Fresh, melting, we are delighted.

As for the dishes, we opted for the cod with chorizo on a bed of leek fondue with vanilla and the Tataki of red tuna with soya on a wok of vegetables. The cod is cooked with accuracy, well spiced up by the chorizo and the tuna, well seasoned with its still crunchy vegetables.

To finish the meal, we opt for the inevitable chocolate Moelleux and its scoop of ice cream as well as for the Mille feuilles chocolat et passion, to finish in beauty.

In short, a beautiful address where we feel good with a beautiful menu and good wines, what more could we ask for?
