With its large terrace, tasty plates and tapas and “open mic” sessions, La Vie Douce is one of the friendliest places in Paris 17th arrondissement. Come along!

La Vie Douce is the kind of address welcoming you with a smile and open arms; a place making you want to lay back and relax and have a good time. Nestled in Paris 17th arrondissement, this local restaurant and bar does not lack assets, starting with the wide and beautiful terrace to make the most of the Indian summer in Paris. Then, there are the “open mic” sessions to enjoy in Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. And even the manager works up a sweat and sings a song, unveiling his incredible vocal talent! A concept adding an even more convivial note to the spot!

And there is the menu shining a light on seasonal dishes. In the evening, fall for the tapas to share (available from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) including the delicious smoked haddock fritters and herb mayonnaise, or the farm chicken tenders served with mint and lemon tartare dip. You can also go enjoy the plancha-cooked squid with bell pepper cream and spianata chips or the incredible burrata served with tomatoes and red berry coulis.

If you are more into more filling dishes, go for the butcher’s piece (black angus flank steak), the incredible burger based on organic buns, Charolais meat steak, aged cheddar and salad, tomatoes, and red onions. La Vie Douce also serves the burger in a chicken or veggie version.

And to finish on a sweet note, order the very indulging raspberry and pistachio tiramisu or the chocolate mousse with roasted hazelnuts and a bit of salt flake.

To pair these dishes, La Vie Douce suggests different beverages such as beer or wine!

If you want to enjoy La Vie Douce at lunch, the place recently started a special set menu called “Les Midis Bouillon” including an entrance like the staple deviled eggs, or Bourguignon beef and elbow pastas, or the salt cod and potato mash with slivered almonds. Last but not least, wrap your 100% French meal up with rice pudding and salted butter caramel, yogurt and red berry coulis, or the ultimate rum baba!
