July 14th is a very special day in France, as it's the Fête Nationale. A key date that refers in particular to the storming of the Bastille, a historic event linked to the French Revolution.
From now on, July 14th is punctuated by traditional celebrations such as firemen's balls, fireworks displays (in Paris, the fireworks are fired from the Eiffel Tower!) and the famous military parade down the Champs Elysées. So many iconic highlights to delight both the French and visiting tourists.
The department of Seine-Saint-Denis is no exception to the rule. Many towns are celebrating the Fête Nationale with a festive and convivial program. On the outskirts of Paris, the town of Pantin is also taking part in the festivities, with events just a metro ride away.
On the program for this national celebration in Pantin are some of the must-see events of the genre: fireworks, a popular ball for young and old, DJ sets, and from early evening, a convivial picnic for the whole family!
