Christmas 2025 at the Château: royal and family celebrations at the Domaine de Sceaux

Whatever the season, theDomaine de Sceauxknowshow to entertain and enchant us. In fine weather, the estate attracts many walkers with its green park, cherry blossoms, groves, fountains, and grand canal. And in winter, it's the Christmas events that make us want to come and stroll through these grounds steeped in history. 

To celebrate the holiday season, from December 5, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the estate is offering a stroll through an enchanted setting that is sure to delight young and old alike. This year, we are transported back to the time of Louis XIV to meet the Duchess of Maine, former owner of the château. 

This winter, the châteaurelives its glory days during the reign of the Sun King, immersing us in the atmosphere of a memorable celebration hosted by the Duchess of Maine. With gilding, magical decorations, and games from yesteryear, visitors can enjoy a festive and magical stroll with family or friends during the Christmas holidays.

Activities planned for Christmas at the Domaine de Sceaux:

• Festivities, entertainment, and puppets – a fun tour for the whole family
  What stories do the puppets that inhabit the Château have to tell us? During this tour, get to know them and listen to tales of sometimes very whimsical celebrations! Thanks to the museum's works, you will also discover who the Duchess of Maine was, the woman who inspired them.
