The 2021 Christmas logs from Boulanger de la Tour d'Argent are quite original! La Tour d'Argent baker Yannick Franques titillates our taste buds with three beautiful creations, to be enjoyed at the famous Paris restaurant or at home, thanks to a click-and-collect service.
It's the star of this Christmas at the Tour d'Argent. The lemon/praline log features a delightful combination of flavors between gourmet hazelnut praline and lemon, in this case rather balanced: on a lemon cookie, there's a layer of feuillantine praline for crispness. On top, a well-balanced lemon cream insert, topped with an intoxicating praline mousse. It's a log with a pleasant "come-hither" feel, sure to please many.
Our favorite among these creations. The chocolate/orange log has a lovely acidity on the palate, which awakens the senses. Composed of a Lautrec cookie, this log confronts a powerful dark chocolate mousse with marmalade and an orange insert. A beautiful battle of flavors, offering new sensations with every bite.
A third fine creation, the pear/vanilla/caramel log is a heartwarming conclusion to the meal, with the softness and roundness of Yannick Franques' choice of pears. A pear/vanilla confit insert covered with a caramel mousse, on a cookie and an almond crunch, this log is sure to please (older) children.
