To mark the 40th Journées du Patrimoine, the Odéon-théâtre de l'Europe is opening its doors for guided backstage tours on Sunday, September 17, 2023 only.

Since 1984, the European Heritage Days have been a key event in the French and European cultural calendar. Like every year, this September weekend invites you to discover cultural sites of all kinds: theaters, museums, cinemas, monuments and much more. The advantage: it's completely free! So bring the whole family! What's more, you can visit places that are usually closed to the public. This year, the 40th edition will take place on Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17, 2023.

Once again, theOdéon-théâtre de l'Europe will be taking part. Founded in 1782, this theater has had many names in its history. What's important to remember is that it is one of France's five national theaters. It's an Italian-style venue steeped in almost 250 years of history. Some of the greatest plays in French literature have been staged here: The Marriage of Figaro, Ruy Blas, The Merchant of Venice, Rhinoceros and many others.
