Marché Pop in Paris: new temporary spot devoted to healthy eating and wellbeing

This summer, Paris 12th arrondissement welcomes a new spot, Marché Pop. The huge temporary spot devoted to healthy diet and wellbeing, Marché Pop expects you from June 6 to October 15, 2019 to unveil its incredible 5000sqm area, its 9 counters, 3 bars, its open BBQ and its playful entertainments!

Every summer, the French capital has its share of novelties. This year, rumor has it that Marché Pop will likely make many Parisians and tourists happy.

To discover from June 6 to October 15, 2019, this new temporary 5000Sqm area expects to please everyone’s eyes and taste buds thanks to this strong concept based on healthy diet and wellbeing.

Created by event agency Surprize (Concrete, Weather Festival, La Friche Richard Lenoir, Réinventer Paris…) and Allo Floride (Dock B…), Marché Pop is settling in for four months on a former RATP site devoted to sport and based in Paris 12^th arrondissement.

Under the aegis of executive chef Nino La Spina, from Grand Coeur restaurant in Paris, Marché Pop will offer a covered 400sqm area featuring over 500 seats.

To run some errands, Parisians and tourists will find nine counters, open at all-time and including a butcher, a fishmonger (with seafood), a baker-patissier, a greengrocer and even a wood-fire pizzeria…

Next to these counters, you also have three bars including a tasting cellar (natural wines and world’s beers).

Who every says summer, also means barbecue… To do so, Marché Pop will feature a 100% Irish area with Jameson BBQ. On the menu? 500sqm devoted to meat lovers and Jameson Irish Whiskey and three experiences focusing on BBQ:

BBQ Alambic: you’ll find a selection of Irish meats, macerating in Jameson and cooked in the first still-shaped barbecue in France.
Shed: here, a selection of Irish chefs will follow one another and offer you a food and cocktail pairing menu entirely cooked over a BBQ.
Open BBQ: for BBQ fans, go for the participative BBQ.

In other words, you get it but at Marché Pop, you can come and run errands, enjoy a picnic, have lunch or dinner with friends and family. Another possibility: buying products at the different counters, cook them with the broiler or the barbecue and enjoy them on the spot!

To top it all, Marché Pop also expects to surprise us with playful entertainments such as cooking classes, masterclasses and Stand Up, dram, dance shows and even concerts in the afternoon to attend under a giant 500sqm tent with a central stage. Let’s not forget either the four ball fields, the foosball tables, the badminton field… Just to work out a bit after all this!

In short, much more than an average market, Marché Pop is a true place of life likely to spruce Paris 12^th arrondissement up this summer!
