The RATP and SNCF network will be experiencing further disruptions this extended weekend from April 19 to 21, 2025. Several RER, Transilien and metro lines will be affected by work and disruptions, and we'll tell you everything you need to know to plan your journeys.

A new weekend of work on the RATP and SNCF networks in Île-de-France is scheduled from Saturday April 19 to Monday April 21, 2025, to make progress on the Grand Paris projects, future metro line extensions or simply keep the network in good condition. Is there going to be a lot of work this time, or is it going to be a quiet weekend? Beware of traffic disruptions and train cancellations, which sometimes need to be anticipated well in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises!

This weekend, 3 RER, 2 Transilien, 3 metro and one streetcar lines are affected. To find alternative routes if you need to travel, the Transilien SNCF website offers alternatives, with buses regularly scheduled to serve stations.

Here are the works scheduled for the weekend of April 19-21, 2025

Metro disruptions

  • Line 5: traffic suspended between Bastille and Place d'Italie until April 23 inclusive. Bus shuttles will take over.

  • Line 12: cModernization work will interrupt traffic on metro line 12 between Concorde and Montparnasse-Bienvenüe this Saturday and Sunday. Six stations will be affected. Traffic will resume as normal on Monday on the entire line, between Mairie d'Aubervilliers and Mairie d'Issy.

  • RER C: traffic will be cut off between Champ-de-Mars and Pontoise, and between Massy-Palaiseau and Pont de Rungis onSaturday and Sunday. There will also be interruptions between Juvisy and Dourdan/Saint-Martin d'Étampes.

Trains running between Nanterre la Folie and Chelles-Gournay, between Hauts-de-Seine and Seine-Saint-Denis, will stop a little later, at 10:45pm. Replacement buses will then take over to ensure continuity of service.

From this station, passengers will be able to catch a train to Persan-Beaumont via Montsoult, or to Luzarches.

  • K line: Due to work on the northern rail line, no trains on the K line will be running between Paris-Nord and Aulnay-sous-Bois this Saturday and Sunday. However,Aulnay-sous-Bois stationremains accessible from Paris-Nord via RER B, which will operate normally on this section.

And on the tramway side?

  • The T12 streetcar will be at a standstill between Massy-Palaiseau and Épinay-sur-Orge for the duration of the weekend.

What advice do you have for users during these disruptions?

Passengers are advised toplan ahead, checking the timetable of replacement buses and allowing for extra travel time. They can consult real-time information via official applications such as SNCF Connect, Île-de-France Mobilités, or by following the Twitter accounts of the lines concerned. It is also advisable to ask station agents for precise, up-to-date information.

In short, get ahead of the game so you don't waste time and avoid disappointment!
