It's back to the traditional income tax return: the campaign began on Thursday April 13 and will end on June 8, 2023. Here's a rundown of the dates not to be missed if you want to avoid a surcharge!

Every year, it's the same thing for the millions of tax households in France. It's almost time to fill in your income tax return for the year 2023 , as the campaign starts on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The calendar varies according to the department, and here are the dates not to forget this year.

At the beginning of April, you will have to fill in and validate your income tax return. For taxpayers living in departments 1 to 19, the deadline is May 25. If you live in zone 2 (departments 20 to 54), you must finalize your return before June 1st. Finally, departments 55 to 976, including Paris, must declare before June 8. If you do not respect these deadlines, you will be subject to a 10% increase in the amount of your taxes.

This declaration must be done online on the website impots.gouv.fr, except for some taxpayers, who must return in paper format before May 22, 2023. As last year, the declaration is simplified. As for your tax notice, you will receive it in July.
