Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre 2025: traffic bans in Paris' 18th arrondissement

The Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre returns to northern Paris with a series of festive and convivial events to discover from Wednesday October 8 to Sunday October 12, 2025. To ensure the smooth running of the event, the Préfecture de police has issued a decree temporarily modifying traffic in several thoroughfares in the capital's 18th arrondissement. Here are the announced restrictions.

The legendary Montmartre district of Paris is set to live to the rhythm of the new and 92nd edition of the Fête des Vendanges for 5 days in a row. From Wednesday October 8 to Sunday October 12, 2025, locals and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a wide range of events, including the Taste Trail, Decibels Vendanges concerts and the grand parade.

But the organization of this famous Parisian event is not without consequences for motorists. On September 29, 2025, the Préfecture de Police published a decree temporarily modifying traffic conditions on several roads in the 18th arrondissement of the capital.

In concrete terms, " all motorized vehicles " will be banned from the streets on the evening of October 9 due to a pedestrian race, and from 10am on October 11 for the grand parade. These bans concern several streets in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, " to ensure the smooth running " of the Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre and the " safety of participants and the public ".

As a result, on October 9, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., all motor vehicles will be prohibited from entering the following streets in the 18th arrondissement,"which form the race route":

  • rue Norvins ;
  • rue des Saules ;

On October 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the following streets in the 18th arrondissement"along the parade route" will be closed to all motor vehicles:
