While modernization work has resumed on some public transport systems, such as line 14, strike action could also disrupt users' daily lives this autumn. In a press release published on September 16, four RATP unions issued strike notice for Tuesday September 24, 2024. The strike notice runs from Monday September 23 at 11pm to Wednesday September 25 at 6am.
In this press release addressed to the RER's operational management, the CGT RATP, FO, La Base RATP andUNSA denounce the " inappropriate control and intervention procedures carried out by SNCF and/or RATP security teams against drivers in cabs [...] during their interoperated journeys on line B ".
" Our 4 trade unions demand that these checks carried out in cabs by safety teams are not subject to degrading actions or overzealousness, and are carried out with respect for everyone ", the unions demand in the letter.
