Attention sports fans and Paris lovers - mark the date Saturday, September 14, 2024 in red in your diaries! Why? Because the Champs-Élysées will be transformed into a gigantic Olympic podium to celebrate our French heroes of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. One week after the end of the Games, the world's most beautiful avenue will host a grandiose parade, according to RMC Sport.
A moment of national communion, where Île-de-France and the provinces will vibrate together, arm in arm, with our athletes. What's on the program? Between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., the champions will parade on foot from avenue Georges V to place de l'Étoile, before heading to the Arc de Triomphe for a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at which President Macron will present the decorations. In all, 800 athletes are expected to attend, not counting the 45,000 volunteers, civil protection and law enforcement agencies, all gathered for a final tribute to their exploits. Even the Phrygians, stars of the Games, will be there!
Unforgettable memories to take home, selfies galore and stories to tell for years to come! If the Olympic Games got France's heart beating, this XXL parade promises to get us dancing to the rhythm of victory.
However, you will need to register at https://parade.paris2024.org/ to be able to attend the parade, as was the case for approaching the Olympic cauldron during the day, or the Club France.
Rendezvous on the Champs-Élysées for a fitting end to the 2024 summer of sport!
