Han Style New Year: free Chinese New Year activities at the Mairie du 13e, Paris

On the occasion of Chinese New Year - Lunar 2025, head to the Mairie du 13e on Saturday, February 1, for an afternoon under the sign of the Snake that promises to make you undulate with joy at the start of the new year! From 1.30pm to 5pm, the Boyan Association invites you to discover the Han Style New Year, a 2025 edition that promises to be even more stylish than the two previous ones!

From 1pm, step through the doors of the Salle des fêtes and immerse yourself in a "han-chantée" atmosphere. Actors and volunteers, decked out in sumptuous traditional Chinese hanfu costumes, welcome you to a show with a twist: music, hanfu parades, costume dances, armored combat, songs, and even a hypnotic snake dance.

There's no shortage of free entertainment to "han-courage" you to take part: try your hand at the famous hanfu (perfect for a killer selfie!), be seduced by a tea tasting, learn the art of calligraphy or test your Chinese language skills. In short, an avalanche of activities that will take you right to the heart of Chinese traditions.
