Nuit des Musées 2024 at the Conciergerie: a free nocturne this Saturday

Yes, the Nuit des Musées is a not-to-be-missed event in the Parisian calendar, offering a fine program of visits, often free of charge, and usually accompanied by unusual events including concerts, workshops, performances and other surprises.

As a reminder, the Conciergerie was a prison, the historic prison of Paris built in the 6th century. From the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and the Revolution, the building has seen many personalities pass through its doors. Marie-Antoinette ended her days there, Robespierre awaited trial... and even today, the Conciergerie retains traces of its history and attracts visitors eager to discover its secrets, while offering fascinating temporary exhibitions.

• The exhibition
  Last chance to enjoy the exhibition at night this weekend! Don't miss the chance to discover "Voyage dans les pierres et la lumière" by artist Ahmet Ertuğ. In the Conciergerie's Salle des Gens d'Armes, (re)discover French and Italian architectural masterpieces through a selection of photographs highlighting these emblematic monuments.

• The show
  The L'Envolée Cirque team invites you on a sensory, moving and contemplative tour of the Conciergerie. Guided by five circus artists and a musician, let yourself be carried away as you stroll through the stations, rediscovering the monument from another angle. From aerial acrobatics to Chinese mat and optical juggling, all these disciplines will take over the space with bodies in a state of fluidity, and through installations and visual and plastic devices. A musical thread will allow these performances to interact in a suspended ballet, defying the laws of gravity!
