Music lovers, this is the event for you! On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the Italian Cultural Institute invites you to join us for the new Fête de la Musique, with a free concert by Frida Bollani Magoni.

After welcoming young opera students from the Accademia Teatro alla Scala's music department in 2017 and 2018, theItalian Cultural Institute is now opening its doors to a talented artist. Daughter of jazz musician Stefano Bollani and singer Petra Magoni (Musica Nuda), Frida Bollani Magoni has often played the role of surprise guest at her parents' concerts. At just 17 years of age, her talent won over the Italian public in a moving performance at the Quirinal in front of the President of the Republic, on the occasion of the June 2, 2021 celebrations. In addition to her studies, studio work and song production, Frida hosts her first podcast, Music Up Drama Down, with English music producer Jimmy Brixton. This June 21, 2022, for the 40th anniversary of the Fête de la musique, come and discover the incredible talent of young pianist Frida Bollani Magoni!

This concert, to be held in the salons of theItalian Cultural Institute, is free of charge, but remember to book on the official website.

The Fête de la Musique was created in 1982 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture. That year, the Ministry of Culture's studies and research department conducted a major survey of French cultural practices. It revealed that five million people, including one young person in two, play a musical instrument. So Jack Lang, architect and scenographer Christian Dupavillon, a member of his Cabinet, and Maurice Fleuret came up with the idea of a major popular event to enable all musicians to express themselves and make themselves known. The very first Fête de la Musique was launched on June 21 1982, the symbolic day of the summer solstice.
