It's a time of year that music lovers look forward to. I'm talking about the Fête de la musique. This great popular and festive event comes back every year on June 21st, to start the summer in beauty and music.

Every June 21, music lovers take to the streets, cafés and restaurants, parks and gardens and sometimes even museums and churches, to vibrate to the rhythm of live music.

Since its inception in 1982, the Fête de la musique has given us some great musical moments. And it's not about to stop. This year, the Fête de la musique is back on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, all over France. Once again, the concerts, dj sets and other free musical events of all kinds will be numerous. From rock to jazz, electro, jazz, classical music or rap... there is something for everyone!

If you live in the Val-d'Oise, then why not go to Cergy which has a lot of free concerts all over. Here is the program!

This year, the association has gathered its favorite artists of the year.
On the bill: Waykiki Boys, Faven, Numah, Smonal..., with, as usual, at the end of the evening, the fine team of DJs of the association to animate the giant dance floor in the open air at the feet of the 12 columns until 1am.
Rendez-vous from 6 pm to 1 am, on the esplanade of Paris, at the feet of the 12 columns. Giant barbecue and refreshments on the spot.

Program of the Hauts-de-Cergy

On the program, place du Nautilus (in front of Visages du Monde) :

  • From 6:30 pm to 12 am
Concert of the rock workshop of the Municipal School of Music. Directed by Frédéric Not, the rock workshop of the Municipal School of Music of Cergy offers a rhythm and blues repertoire.

  • Albe
With her electric guitar and her machines, alone on stage, the musician and producer Albe unveils an unclassifiable electronic music, tinged with rock, pop and ambient references, which echoes film music.

  • Mawu'Nyo
Mawu'Nyo is a Cergysoit musical composer who oscillates between electronic music and piano. After releasing a first EP in 2022, he is in residence at Le Douze as an associate artist for a 15-track album due in early 2023. He will play an excerpt from his next album accompanied on stage by Mariana Luz.

  • Asfar Shamsi
A self-taught artist, it was in the privacy of her room that Asfar Shamsi began to mix rap, song, writing and poetry. Through each of her songs, she invites us to join her in a universe where candor, melancholy, irreverence and sincerity intertwine.

  • Isïa Marie
Several bands (Dixit, Eden Pill, Mante), opening acts for La Femme or Nina Hagen, and a big desire to break everything. Her first album "L'Amante religieuse" has the taste of a blow of gueule, of a revenge.

  • Wigo
The very first group to have played on the stage of Le Douze as the opening act for L.E.J., during the opening concert in October 2021, Wigo's show left a lasting impression. Their style? Effective indie pop rock!

  • Tangomotán
Two women, two men, four instruments, Tangomotán likes to improvise and never tires of reinterpreting, working, evolving, freeing themselves to better rediscover this tango that they make palpable, carnal and visual.

For all these concerts, note that the entrance is free and open to all. Have a good music festival!
