Every year, the Centre culturel irlandais (CCI) in Paris celebrates Saint Patrick's Day, usually celebrated on March 17. Once again this year, the Centre Culturel Irlandais is offering a new series of events to be experienced from March 11 to 20, 2025 , during the new edition of its St. Patrick's Day festival.
As you may have noticed, the Centre Culturel Irlandais is once again pulling out all the stops for the return of St. Patrick's Day to Paris, celebrating Ireland's national holiday for 10 days. For the occasion, traditional music takes center stage with no less than four evenings of concerts. Please note that these concerts are not free of charge.
On Wednesday March 12, join traditional singers and musicians Piaras O Lorcáin and Eoghan O Ceannabháin at the CCI. During this"Gaulín special", they will sing a number of a cappella arias in Irish and English. On March 13 and 14, Piaras O Lorcáin and Eoghan O Ceannabháin join musicians Kaitlin Cullen-Verhauz (cello, vocals) and Ian Kinsella (guitar) in the sublime chapel of the Centre culturel irlandais. On March 15 and 16, don't miss Leonard Barry, famous Irish piper. Finally, on March 20, the Breaking Trad trio, featuring accordionist Dónal Murphy, fiddler David Doocey and guitarist and singer Mike Galvin.
But the Saint Patrick's Day 2025 festival at the Centre culturel irlandais is also putting the 7th art at the heart of its programming, with the screening of two not-to-be-missed films at the Les 3 Luxembourg cinema.
Another highlight of St. Patrick's Day 2025 at the Centre culturel irlandais?St. Patrick's Family Day, on Sunday March 16 from 1pm to 5pm. On the program? A festive family afternoon, with a brass band and mini-concerts in the courtyard by Leonard Barry and Trio Mór (William Howard on mandolin and vocals, Quentin Vestur on harp and Glenn Gouthe on uilleann pipes and whistles). Face-painting and coloring workshops will also be available for the younger set. The afternoon is free for under-18s, but this year there will be a charge for adults (5 euros).
