One is Icelandic, the other is Swedish. The first one is into post metal, and the second one is into doom metal. Sólstafir and Katatonia are getting ready to travel together through European cities on a not-to-be-missed joint tour in 2023.
In total, a little more than 30 dates are scheduled, with no less than three stops in France. Get your diaries ready! Sólstafir and Katatonia will meet their French fans on February 5, 2022 in Lyon, on February 9 in Toulouse and finally on February 20, 2022 in Paris for a unique show announced at the Trianon. Due to the health crisis, the Paris concert is postponed to Sunday, February 19, 2023, still at the Trianon.
In the saddle since 1991, the Swedes of Katatonia have a dozen albums to their credit, including the latest one called"City Burials".
As for the Icelandic band Sólstafir, they have released 7 albums since their creation in 1995."Endless Twilight of Codependent Love", released in 2020, is the latest.
No doubt that these two bands, now evolving in the melancholic metal scene, will know how to honor their last respective album. To discover Sólstafir and Katatonia on the same stage of the Trianon, let's meet on February 19th, 2023 in Paris!
