Almost 30 years after the first opus, Tom Cruise reprises his role as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, in Top Gun Maverick! Still plagued by his demons since the tragic death of his teammate, navigator Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, the aviator finds himself, willy-nilly, having to train students (including the son of his deceased friend) in an almost impossible mission!
The film offers 2 hours of suspense and action mixed with humor and romance and will please both the fans who will find the atmosphere of the first film thanks to the many winks that bring back distant memories, and the neophytes who discover the story of this unusual hero for the first time. Several flashbacks make it easy to understand what brings the different characters to their current state of mind.
