The first Louis Vuitton hotel on the Champs-Elysées

Have you heard the rumors about a future Louis Vuitton hotel in Paris? This Thursday, September 28, 2023, the "rumors" were confirmed, as the Paris departmental commission for commercial development finally gave the go-ahead for the monogrammed label's outrageous project! And what better place to set up the first address of the LV hotel complex than on the Most Beautiful Avenue in the World?

Originally, 103-111 avenue des Champs-Elysées was a hotel built on the initiative of the Compagnie des Wagons Lits, during the 1900 Universal Exhibition. More recently, the HSBC bank took up residence there for 20 years, and now it's the turn of the Maison Française to take over theart deco building and open its very first hotel! Remember, the building was covered with an xxl canvas printed with the Dior universe, evoking the possible opening of a new flagship for the brand on the Champs-Élysées. In the end, however, it was the LVMH group's flagship brand, Louis Vuitton, that took over the premises.

Louis Vuitton to open a new address on the Champs-Élysées

The LVMH Maison already has several cafés and restaurants around the world, including in Osaka and Tokyo in Japan, as well as Paris and Saint Tropez in France. A hotel would be part of this "renaissance of Paris's original commercial downtown", according to Michael Burke's comments to WWD. Dior, another of the luxury group's labels, is already experimenting with the concept at 30 Montaigne, combining gastronomy, museum, boutique and hotel.

According to Jeanne d'Hauteserre, mayor of Paris's 8th arrondissement, the first hotel in Louis Vuitton's history will cover 6,000 m² and open in 2026. In the meantime, the building is already set to host the Maison Louis Vuitton's Spring-Summer 2024 fashion show on October 2.
