Will Paris FC soon be back in Ligue 1? Currently Ligue 2 leaders, the Parisian club could very well move up very quickly, if they remain consistent, with the help of their coach Stéphane Gilli, recently extended until 2026. The reason for this? New shareholders: the Arnault family, head of LVMH, and Red Bull. A real revolution for the club!
This would enable the capital to enjoy genuine quality derbies against Paris-Saint-Germain, still based at the Parc des Princes. According to L'Equipe, Pierre Ferracci, current owner with Bahrain, will keep"30% of the club's capital until 2027, when he plans to exit", while the Arnault family will buy 55% of the club's shares before taking over from Ferracci, with Red Bull investing 15%.
Currently based at the Stade Charléty in the south of Paris, the club could be moving to Jean Bouin, right next door to its, perhaps, future rival? Nasser al-Khelaïfi seems rather delighted by this news, according to RMC: "It's great news. It's fantastic for Paris, fantastic for French soccer". But will tickets still be free to attend matches in this configuration?
