Nîmes Festival 2024: Dua Lipa joins the line-up

The Nîmes Festival announces its return in 2024 to the city's sumptuous arena. On the program? A host of concerts, including those by Ninho, SCH, Bigflo et Oli, Patrick Bruel, Slimane, Shaka Ponk, Macklemore, Eric Clapton, The Offspring, Dadju & Tayc, Simple Minds and Patti Smith, as well as PLK and Dua Lipa!

Who hasn't heard of the Festival de Nîmes, which takes place every summer on the exceptional site of the Arènes de Nîmes? From the outset, this festival has welcomed incredible international and French-speaking artists: PJ Harvey, Placebo, Noir Désir, Ben Harper, David Bowie, The Cure, Compay Segundo, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Metallica and many others.

The South of France is known for hosting the largest number of festivals in the country: theater, music, dance, street theater... every cultural discipline is represented.

Not surprisingly, the Arènes de Nîmes attracts several thousand visitors every year, fascinated by the quality of the site's conservation. Classified as a historic monument, the Arènes de Nîmes is, by virtue of its very architectural function, a place for shows and games.

After Michel Polnareff, Zazie and Florent Pagny, Slipknot, Damso, Placebo, Ludovico Einaudi, the duo Gims & Dadju, Arctic Monkeys, Sigur Rós, Gojira, The Black Keys and Djadja & Dinaz in 2023, who will rock the Festival de Nîmes in 2024 ? Well, several national and international artists have already confirmed their appearance at the Arènes de Nîmes in summer 2024.

On its social networks, the festival has revealed that British artist James Blunt, famous for his hits"Goodbye My Lover" and"You're Beautiful", as well as Suzanne Vega, popularized thanks to her hit"Luka", will take over the site next Tuesday, July 16.

Other names? Ninho! The rapper will be at the Arènes de Nîmes on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Slimane and Claudio Capéo will also be on hand for a unique evening on Sunday June 30, 2024. You can also catch rapper SCH in Nîmes on June 28, 2024, Calogero on June 22, and Patrick Bruel & Ycare on July 5. On this occasion, the legendary Patrick Bruel will offer an exceptional creation based on his new album,"Encore une fois", and its legendary songs.

The Nîmes festival also announces the arrival of Shaka Ponk and Dionysos on June 14, 2024, American rapper Macklemore on July 11, and American punk rock band The Offspring with Canadians Simple Plan on June 26, 2024. Another name?Eric Clapton! The legendary British guitarist will be performing on May 31, 2024 to celebrate 60 years in the music business. Dua Lipa is also confirmed for the Nîmes arena this summer, with two exclusive shows not to be missed on June 12 and 13, 2024.
