How about enjoying a free great show? Meet on Sunday September 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. in front of Paris City Hall for “Kadamati”, a dance show gathering 700 dancers.
“Kadamati”, what’s that? This word means “clay ground” in Bengali. This dance show created and choreographed by British choreographer Akram Khan and his company is produced by the Théâtre du Châtelet and the Théâtre de la Ville who joined forces for an uncommon and out-of-the-walls show.
About 700 people including amateur and professional dancers will gather around in front of Paris City Hall for one performance. Their common point? They come from the outer Paris. But it doesn’t stop there. They come from different social and cultural backgrounds. Dance brought them together.
In “Kadamati”, these dancers take over the public area and create a bound and surprise and conviviality with the audience who came to see them or the simple passersby here by chance.
After a first performance in Edinburg in late August, “Kadamati” will be in Paris for the commemoration of the First World War armistice centenary signed on November 11, 2018 in the Compiègne forest.
So, on September 9, let’s all meet in front of Paris City Hall to celebrate the centenary of the end of the First World War thank to dance with “Kadamati”.
