The celebrated MoMA in Paris is the exhibition not to be missed from October 11, 2017 to March 5, 2018. For 5 months, more than 200 masterpieces from the world's greatest Museum of Modern Art will integrate the Fondation Louis Vuitton, to the delight of art lovers!

With its exhibition Etre Moderne, the Fondation Louis Vuitton is pulling out all the stops: 200 works from New York's Museum of Modern Art, the famous MoMA, are coming to Paris.

Masterpieces by Alexander Calder, Jasper Johns, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Frank Stella and Yvonne Rainer, little known to French museums, will be in Paris for five months, and on this occasion, the French capital will rediscover masterpieces by Marcel Duchamp, Paul Cézanne, René Magritte and Paul Signac, acquired by the New York Museum since its creation in 1929 .

For 90 years now, and since it was founded by 4 women, MoMA has devoted itself exclusively to the contemporary visual arts, acquiring the best of the world's transdisciplinary output. The 200,000 works in the collection - paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, videos, architectural and design objects and performances - "celebrate creativity, open-mindedness, tolerance and generosity".

We already know that Andy Warhol's famous Campbell's Soup Cans (1962), Constantin Brancusi's Bird in Space , a Bather by Paul Cézanne, Walt Disney's Steamboat Willie, Jackson Pollock's Echo: Number 25 and Carl Andre's 144 Lead Square (1969) will all be on show. While the tour may seem chronological, we were surprised by how contemporary it was! Yes, Space Invaders (1978) and the 176 DOCOMO emojis created by Shigetaka Kurita in 1999 ended up at MoMA.

This exhibition has been made possible by MoMA's extension works, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, which should be completed in 2019 to unveil a new, denser presentation.
