Diving in the heart of an exhibition in the most immersive way possible… this is what offers the exhibition Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition, with a special day since fans of the series broadcasted on HBO can visit this display of costumes and props for free at Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versaillles under the conditions they come dressed up as a character of the series themselves.
A free access for cosplayers on July 21, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. within the limit of tickets available, the visit can be done until the exhibition closes. Dressed-up visitors can also be eligible for “Best Cosplay” contest to try and win an official Game of Thrones prize including the latest Blu-Ray Ultra HD 4K box set of the first season.
To take part in the contest, there’s nothing easier: you only have to come dressed up, costumes have to represent a character of the saga and looks like him/her very clearly. Then, you have to fill in an entry form at the reception area. Participants will be judged 40% on their authenticity and 60% on their creativity by a jury panel of 3 people. The last 5 will be announced at 4:20 p.m. and the contest winner at 4:30 p.m. The occasion to really live at Westeros time.
