We knew the jazz singer, but Melody Gardot is also a photographer. The most French-loving of American singers displays over 150 of her photographs at the la Hune gallery-bookstore. A free exhibition running from May 24 to September 30, 2022, called From la Hune with love.
This year, Melody Gardot’s agenda is very busy. On May 20th, the singer releases her new album, Entre eux deux, an album in French, made with French-Brazilian pianist Philippe Powel. And this is on the occasion of her album release Melody Gardot displays her photos.
From la Hune with love gathers over 150 private shots, taken by Melody Gardot on the spot and especially framed.
In addition to photographs taken by Melody Gardot, From la Hune with love also displays three pictures by Laurence Laborie who immortalized Melody Gardot in black and white. Prints signed and numbered.
And spending the summer (and even more) at la Hune, Melody Gardot will move on to Parisian shows – without forgetting to perform in a few summer festivals, such as the Django Reinhard festival in Fontainebleau. She is to perform at the Olympia for two shows in November too. But until then, enjoy her exhibition and discover another facet of her talent.
