Quai de la Photo is the name of this new floating art center dedicated to contemporary photography, which opened its doors on July 20, 2023. In a 1,000 m² space, exhibitions, conferences and cultural events await you, in this free venue open to all, on the Seine near the Pont de Bercy in Paris.

Attention photographers and photo enthusiasts : a new floating art center has opened its doors in Paris. It's called Quai de la Photo. This new cultural barge is located on the Seine, in front of the Bibliothèque nationale de France in the 13th arrondissement, and opposite theAccor Arena in Bercy.

This unique and exceptional new venue offers not only free exhibitions showcasing contemporary photographers, but also festive events, meetings, conferences, concerts... This festive, gourmet venue is ideal for sharing a drink and a bite to eat, while enjoying cultural activities. As an added bonus, an integrated marina, offering private trips and cruises on exceptional boats, is available on reservation.

A new photo exhibition space

Quai de la Photo showcases works by famous photographers as well as those of innovative young artists. The project aims to promote current photography practices, highlighting both French and foreign artists. In addition to the exhibitions, the art center aims to organize interactive activities and guided tours, lectures, courses and even workshops for children. Parisians, young and old, tourists, amateurs and established artists: Quai de la Photo aims to appeal to all audiences with its eclectic program.

A festive place to live

The floating center is also a convivial place for meeting and sharing. At the bar, you'll discover a musical ambience and a classic menu, where cocktail and mocktail lovers will find something for everyone. To starboard, there's a bookshop corner, run by the La Comète bookshop, which specializes in photo books. Many meetings, conferences and book signings await you.

Finally, from May to October, the site opens its summer terrace, to delight our eyes and taste buds. From July 20, 2023, an indoor restaurant will also open its doors for a meal on the Seine.

An integrated marina

A special feature of the site is the marina, where visitors can take a boat trip along the Seine. Two options are available. For a group cruise, at just 12 euros per person, opt for the "Découverte" cruise on an electric catamaran. If you're looking for a more intimate experience, our tailor-made private cruises are waiting for you! Please note that both cruises are by reservation only.

Quai de la Photo also organizes themed photo workshops: cruise the Seine, discover Paris's beautiful monuments and places of interest, and learn a host of tricks to - perhaps - become the next Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Does this new spot remind you of Fluctuart, the first successful floating urban art center at the foot of Les Invalides? It's only natural: it was co-founder Nicolas Laugero Lasserre and his associates who created Quai de la Photo. While Fluctuart is dedicated tourban art, Quai de la Photo aims to promote photography by offering an accessible venue open to all.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to discover the Quai de la Photo. It's an enriching cultural experience that Paris offers its residents and visitors alike. Don't wait any longer, plan your visit now!
