Street art lovers are all smiles. In recent months, there has been an increasing number of events celebrating urban art in Paris and elsewhere in the Île-de-France region. These include Seth's"Escape Games" exhibition, the 3rd edition of"100% Paper" by Hopare and Urban Signature, anexhibition of longboards customized by a host of talented artists, and a new installation at Fluctuart.
In Paris, head for the Palais de la Femme - Armée du Salut in the 11th arrondissement to admire the works of 28 street artists. This collective installation is also feminine, with the participation of 25 women, including Demoisellemm, Maca, Lapin Mutant, Marlène Ehrhard and Aubi Art.
On view from Wednesday, January 29 to Saturday, February 22, 2025, this free exhibition features some thirty works based on a single theme:"the freedom to love". Entitled " J'aime qui je veux! " and curated by Patricia Benech-Le Roux, the exhibition takes a questioning, funny, joyful, glamorous, pop, romantic, sensual, sexy and emotional approach to the theme of love.
Behind this exhibition is Garidell 14. This urban art gallery, described as " feminist and itinerant ", was founded in 2015. What makes it special? It travels around and takes over various living spaces, such as Le Corbusier's Cité de Refuge, the Théâtre Toursky International, the Maison de la Vie Associative et Citoyenne and social-cultural centers.
This winter, Garidell 14 returns to the Palais de la Femme - Armée du Salut to unveil the works of 28 street artists, most of them women. Located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the Palais de la Femme is a facility dedicated to the prevention of social exclusion and integration.
Please note that the exhibition is open free of charge from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12pm to 7pm. Guided tours are also offered on Thursday and Saturday at 3pm. The vernissage is scheduled for February 1, 6-9pm.
